Annual ACSI Spelling Bee Contest
Qualifying 1st—8th grade students participated in the Annual ACSI Spelling Bee at Casas Adobes Baptist School Saturday in January. The following students were chosen to represent DCS:
1st grade—Ella Kelley (4th overall for 1st grade) and Kelsi Bridgewater
2nd grade—Calvin Mitchell and Ashley Sones
3rd grade—Milena Le (1st overall for 3rd grade )
and Sophie Mosher (3rd overall for 3rd grade )
4th grade—Cristi-Ana Floress and Tyler Lewin
5th grade—Corin Hernandez and Tara Murphy
6th grade—Sierra Palmer (2nd overall for 6th grade) and Jack Martin
7th grade—Nathan Blake *(1st overall for 7th grade)
and Julie Han (3rd overall for 7th grade)
8th grade—Sabrina Fest* (2nd overall for 8th grade) and Ben Schilling
*Sabrina Fest and Nathan Blake continued on to the
Regional ACSI Spelling Bee in Phoenix, February 2010. Congratulations!
