"Making a Way in the Desert" Capital Campaign
God continues to bless Desert Christian Schools in meeting the needs of Tucson's Christian families with the recent acquisition of a 16 acre property which will house our future K-8 campus.
Phase One for "Making a Way in the Desert" is now complete and includes purchase of land and developing a master plan for both campuses, and clearing the property. Phase Two will include building construction for classrooms for Site of future k-8 campus and sports fieldsthe elementary and middle school classrooms and all-school athletic fields.

Eagle Annual Fund
While gifts to the capital campaign provide funds for building, the annual fund is designated for people and programs. The Eagle Annual Fund was created to make up the shortfall between tuition revenues and operating expenses. Gifts to the Eagle Fund are designated for teacher salaries, instructional tools, educational development, and much more which in turn keeps DCS as affordable as possible for

Planned Giving
Planned gifts are commitments made by you today but are not actually realized by Desert Christian Schools until some future date. They range from simple agreements to complex trust arrangements. Some offer an income for life and they all provide income tax and estate tax benefits.
Bequests
You may wish to name Desert Christian Schools in your will or trust and save on estate taxes.
Charitable Gift Annuity
Charitable gift annuities are life income gifts. You transfer assets to Desert Christian Schools then receive a charitable deduction for a portion of the transfer, and you or a beneficiary receives income for the rest of your life or a fixed period of time.
Benefits include state and federal tax deductions, increased income from low-yield stock, and possible avoidance of the capital gain tax on gifts of long-term appreciated property. You can also reduce or eliminate the estate tax on the assets given and name a second income beneficiary.
Gifts of Stock, Securities, or Real Estate
Donations of stock, securities, or real estate are gratefully accepted. You may also wish to name Desert Christian Schools as your insurance policy beneficiary.
Advisory Support
Gifts may be made to Desert Christian through charitable gift-annuities, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, pooled income funds, life insurance policies and bequests through a will, and other planned gifts. Desert Christian is privileged to have several CPA’s and Attorneys who have made their services available to our school pro-bono.
