DCS Board of Trustees
Desert Christian Schools is governed by policies approved by the Parent Association and directed by an elected Board of Trustees of godly men and women who serve voluntarily in representing the entire parent body.
A message from the President
The Board of Trustees for Desert Christian is responsible for regularly reviewing the Headmaster’s policy compliance. We hear and discuss reported evaluations of the school's stated ends, asking, "Are we pursuing and accomplishing our mission … are we seeing tangible evidences in our students?" As always, a big part of our time is spent praying for our students, faculty, and staff. We also continue to pray for the growth of our school and the development of our campuses.
DCS Board Policy 4.1 states that the Board shall govern with an emphasis on several things among which are “outward vision” and “the future rather than the past or present.” Every month the Board spends time thanking God for what He has done and what He is doing. With that foundation we then give consideration to what He is calling us to – what does He have in store for us next year and the years to follow as we seek to carry out the school’s mission?
The Board has been thrilled with all that we have seen the Lord doing on both of our campuses this year. Psalm 96:3 encourages us to “tell of His wonderful deeds among the people.” It is a particularly significant time to share with others all the great things we are experiencing in the Desert Christian Family as we celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the school. We invite those who are connected to DCS and those who like to know more to come visit us and learn more.
With the new campus and the anniversary celebration, we sense that the first twenty-five years are just the beginning of God’s work in our midst.
